When it comes to shopping and retail, you can be sure Newbury has it all given its great overall range and variety of retailers dotted in the town. Newbury is home to a great wealth of shops, restaurants, takeaways, bars, pubs, coffee shops, sandwich shops as well as boutique type stores, such as wedding shops. What has been a game changer to shopping in Newbury has been the opening of Parkway, which opened in the 2011.
The Parkway has been a major investment to the town and has seen some major retailers come to the town. It offers a lovely setting and alongside the retailers based here are a number of lovely cafes and restaurants. Accessorize, Fat Face, H&M and River Island are just a few of the major name retailers based here. John Lewis and Marks & Spencer are also based here and can offer a great mix of items to shoppers. For something a little more upmarket and distinctive, there’s also Hotel Chocolat based here, offering a very high-end range of chocolates.
Cafe Rouge, PAUL, Costa Coffee, Coffee#1, John Lewis Cafe, Hotel Chocolat, and ‘Estro’ cafe at Debenhams all offer shoppers a great delicious range of menus, snacks and refreshments to re-charge those batteries whilst at Parkway. These cafes are equally just as great should you be shopping in Newbury in general. PAUL Cafe is a must go to patisserie and this is a great coup for the town, being the second in store in the UK that is outside of London.
Parkway Shopping Newbury, brings more than 475,000 square feet of modern shopping to an historical environment. Parkway offers an exceptional mix of high street retail and unique boutique stores. The look of this shopping area is smart in terms of its décor and architecture and likewise, it also offers the benefit of being able to offer excellent parking facilities to shoppers and visitors alike. This is an easy place to visit and can make for a great day out when shopping. To add to this, it is also within a short walk of the historic areas of Newbury.
